|HOW DO YOU COOK FRESH PASTA?||
Use plenty of water in a large pot (with a little salt if desired), and bring to a full boil. Add the fresh pasta and stir to ensure separation. Bring back to a boil and start the countdown with an occasional stir. Our fresh pasta takes as little as (1-2 minutes for spaghettini, spaghetti, radiatore, fusilli, and macaroni) (3-4 minutes for rigatoni, penne, linguini, casarece, fettuccini, cavatelli, pappardelle and lasagna). Taste the pasta to determine if it’s to your liking. Perfectly cooked pasta should be al’dente or firm to the bite. Once it’s ready, strain the pasta and immediately mix in your favorite Pasta Bella sauce, then serve, and enjoy!
|HOW SHOULD I STORE FRESH PASTA AND HOW LONG DOES IT KEEP?||
To achieve its freshest taste, all our fresh pasta can be refrigerated for up to three days in its original packaging once bought. If you notice some condensation inside its bag, consider transferring the paper wrapped pasta into another bag or Tupperware container where it can last another two days refrigerated (0 – 4 ⁰C) or up to three months frozen. Tip: if you are storing cooked pasta for later use or for cold salads, we suggest you rinse the just boiled pasta with cold water and stain thoroughly. Once they are cooled off and dripped dry, stir in some oil of choice and refrigerate in a well-sealed container.
|HOW DO I PAIR PASTA SHAPES WITH APPROPRIATE SAUCES?||
When pairing pasta with a sauce, remember that: Thin pastas, such as spaghettini or spaghetti, are better served with light sauces like pesto and olive oil. Thicker pasta shapes, like fettuccine and pappardelle, work well with heavier sauces like Rosée and Alfredo. Pasta shapes with holes or ridges, like rigatoni or radiatore, are perfect for chunkier sauces with meats and/or vegetables, like Florentine and Gigi.
